Jiangsu Shengyi Aviation: Sino-German Cooperative Electric Aircraft Debuts at Asian General Aviation Exhibition

Elektra Solar GmbH, a German R&D and manufacturing enterprise of new energy electric fixed-wing aircraft (winner of the first prize for comprehensive invention and application of new energy electric aircraft at European Aviation Exhibitions for three consecutive years), has partnered with Suqian Su-Su Industrial Park (hereinafter referred to as SSIP) to announce the establishment of Jiangsu Shengyi Aviation Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as JSSY) as its China R&D and production headquarters base. The first model to roll off the final assembly line is the Elektra Trainer, which will play an important role in application scenarios of China’s “low-altitude economy”, including scenic spot tours, low-altitude aviation talent training, low-altitude air police patrols, and low-orbit satellite relay communication platforms.

Located in the SSIP Park in Suqian City, Jiangsu Province, JSSY will be responsible for the R&D and manufacturing of manned and unmanned fixed-wing pure electric aircraft, and contribute to the localization and full nationalization of manufacturing processes in China. The two-seat manned version of the Elektra Trainer will be exhibited at the Asian General Aviation Exhibition from November 27 to 30.

Dr. Konstantin Kodra, CEO of Elektra Solar GmbH (Director and Academician of the Institute of Mechanical and Robotics Integration, German Aerospace Center (DLR)), stated: “China’s low-altitude economy is growing rapidly across all application scenarios with a clear national development direction. We are honored to join hands with SSIP in Suqian, Jiangsu, China, to combine Europe’s leading German electric flight special electronic control and solid-state battery technologies developed by the EU DLR with China’s strong supply chain capabilities. By introducing the clean, quiet and rapidly deployable ELEKTRA Trainer to low-altitude economy flight takeoff and landing sites across China, we can make a significant contribution to the accelerated development of China’s low-altitude economy.”
